All posts for the month December, 2011

There are just over 3 hours left of this year, so it’s rather customary to look back on what has been and look forward to what will be.

It was an interesting start to the year where I met a lot of new people and am very proud to say I really grew and improved as a writer. O.T took me under his wing and taught me of poetry, from there I was introduced to some absolutely incredible talent. I had Masquerade Tease published and turned down a contract for erotica.

From there – I bought my first horse Ziggy, my baby who had been left in a field to starve. I lost my dog walking job but became a freelance writer and a baker! My male also applied to join the army and his application is still going through, he hopes to go into the paras. In November I tackled NaNoWriMo for the 2nd time with an attempt at an epic fantasy. Unfortunately I just couldn’t get my head into it and although I ‘won’ and wrote 50k the book is far from done with.

I also met my dear Kit and have high hopes for next year. Hopefully, the freelance writing will take off and I’ll get back into writing my poetry and prose again. It’s been very up and down this year but I’m firmly back on my path. My spiritual side is re-awakening, my feet dance along the blade with my pack at my back.

So, I stride forth into 2012 with my head held high. I will be me, nothing less. I will fulfil my role, with my Killes’ai at my side.

Unfortunately I have nothing of Kit’s to offer you as thanks to him for all he’s done. So I leave you with something of O.T’s to feast your senses upon – I thanks him entirely, and say with a cheeky grin – I’m proudly your #1 stalker :-P

Happy new year,

Shen

Well. The new year is all about growth, re-birth, fresh starts and progress, improvement. So, here I am thinking about those things.

I haven’t written much of anything in a little while and I’ve already admitted I miss writing my poetry. Following from that, my dear OT (yes MY OT) is trying to write again! So. Go show that fantastic, incredibly, sickeningly talented poet some love! http://ostensible-truth.blogspot.com/

Anyway, back to me. Yes. I do plan on writing, yes I said that at the start of this month..

I am however still rather content and happy! Again, much thanks owed to my Kit.

This wouldn’t really be complete without some resolutions would it? Mine are really quite simple (yet so complex):

Be true to myself.

Write again!

When I have more to say I’ll shout. Until then, take care, be happy and show MY OT some love!

NaNoWriMo is officially over. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster in reality. I can however say with all honesty that I’m currently a far happier kitty than I have been for a long time.

This last month I found Google+ which introduced me to some fantastic people. I also landed a great job which I’m thoroughly enjoying (huge thanks to Spike). I don’t think it’s entirely sunk in that I am a free-lance writer. I’m being paid to do something I really like! On the other end of the scale – I’ve been pushing closer to my spiritual stuff a lot these last three weeks and I’m pleased to say that’s going absolutely swimmingly! (That really is a horrible phrase isn’t it!?)

Kismet Calling, my nano is currently sitting in a folder and online. I stopped mid scene, mid chapter. I know that it’s a good story with two solid characters which I like. I’m just not in a place where I like it enough to continue. I want to head over to something shiny, fresh and new! So. That’s what I’m doing. I have all the planning in my book so I can finish Kismet when I’m reading in the new year. Until then, who knows! Hopefully I’ll do a mix of flash/poetry and a novel. We’ll see.

So there ya have it folk. I’m doing positively wonderfully! I feel better than I have done in a very long time. With thanks to Brian, Spike and my Kit.
